| Hey Folks! I just wanted to take a moment to do a little update and say hello. We are excited to announce that Joe Coffey has joined the band on banjo. Joe makes his home in Powder Springs, Ga and is an extraordinary picker. Joe joined us in Nashville to lay down some tracks for the new CD and we look forward to traveling with him this year. We would also like to welcome my brother, Gentleman Bill Scoggins back on bass fiddle. Bill had worked with the band a few years ago and most recently spent 3 years with Raymond Fairchild; King of the Smokey Mountain banjo pickers. Bill just purchased an exceptionally nice '41 Kay to play on the road. Ask him about it at the next show. As usual, Bill will be spending the winter in Florida. Our new all-gospel CD "Overcome" has just been released. We are very proud of the CD and it has been selling great. For this project, we have featured a mix of original material and several old favorites. Doug wrote the title cut. We continue to make steady progress (well kind of) toward finishing our Nashville CD. Banjo great Mike Scott was featured on the project as well as Warrior River Boy's fiddler Owen Saunders. We were excited to have Heather Berry contribute vocals on a couple of cuts as well. We would like to thank Tom T. and Dixie Hall and their wonderful staff for all of their help, patience, and support. Wow... I'm not believing some of the great shows we're booking for '09. Check back for updates. Stay warm and think spring!!! Ken, Doug, Bill, & Joe |
